1. The type of skin you have matters. You need to know exactly what kind of skin you have to take care of it correctly. A lot of the products or natural remedies you will find out there usually are geared toward specific skin types.
2. Drink a lot of water. This will not keep your skin moist but will help in overall upkeep of your health and in turn your skin. It might seem a bit weird to some, however, this is an important skin care tip.
3. Keep yourself clean. I know, this goes without saying, but if you can get your face cleaned 2-3 times a day, you have got a much better chance of keeping your skin healthy. Do yourself a favor and us warm water. If the water is too hot or too cold, it may not be that good for your skin.
4. Be nice to your skin. What I mean by this is do use a Brillo pad to wash your face. It is delicate. Use a soft cloth and treat it like you would want to be treated.
5. Moisturize – You have got to keep your skin moist to have good skin. If your skin gets too dry, it can crack and this is obviously the opposite of what we are trying to accomplish.
6. Make sure your body soap is a good, moisturizing soap if you plan on using it on your face. If it’s not, then get yourself a face soap. It is a mst and the only way to go if you want to keep that skin shiny.
7. One word: Sunscreen. You have got to wear it, preferably everyday, even if it’s cloudy. This is such an important tip, especially if you live in a very warm climate.
8. Exercise and go to bed. Sleep and exercise are staples for good health and can help your skin as well. Think about it: no sleep equals bags and wrinkles under the eyes. No exercise makes your skin saggy. So exercise and go to bed.
9. See the doc if something is weird. Don’t ignore things that look weird. Get it check out for crying out loud.
10. You got to relax. Stress is a killer, not just for your whole body, but for your skin.
